Equipment Specialist

Key Responsibilities

This part-time position is based in Bellingham, WA and has highly flexible scheduling (4-10 hours/week). The Equipment Specialist will assist in the below duties and may have additional responsibilities based on their interests. In addition, BMG is happy to sign off time as volunteer hours if needed. 

  • Gear Management

    • Pack medical equipment including first aid kits and instructor supplies

    • Organize and record equipment inventory 

    • Assess gear and conduct necessary repairs

  • Field Exploration (optional)

    • Shadow program instructors and assist with classes (Wilderness First Aid, Wilderness First Responder, Mountain Bike Medicine, Maritime Medicine)

    • Understand and contribute to program development and logistics

    • Undergo training in the handling and purpose of medical equipment   

  • Written Resource Preparation

    • Assemble BMG lecture note handbooks, instructor materials, and other resources

  • Office Maintenance

    • Help maintain the BMG office/classroom setting through tasks such as cleaning, organizing, and classroom preparation

The hourly wage for this position is $18.00. Start date and scheduling are flexible.
