Grant Proposal Writer
Description
The Grant Proposal Writer will work to identify prospective funding for the organization and submit proposals for funding. The Grant Proposal Writer primarily seeks out and applies for one-time or annual grants from external agencies. This is a part-time (approximately 5-10 hours per week), volunteer position.
Key Responsibilities
Identify and research grant funding opportunities.
Write, submit and manage grant proposals
Maintain proficient knowledge of organization’s history and programs.
Furnish prospective funders with supporting documents.
Report on all opportunities applied for and provide status updates.
Maintain records through Backcountry Medical Guides and external grant agency databases.
Cultivate on-going relationships with grant foundations.
Track and maintain all records regarding incentive compensation in coordination with the Treasurer.
Cultivate and secure local, state and federal grants and other additional government funding.
Devote at least 5 hours weekly to grant writing responsibilities.
Other responsibilities may be assigned as necessary.
Skill Requirements
2+ years of grant proposal writing experience
Expert writing skills
