Desired Qualifications
Certifications
Professional healthcare license or certification in good standing: EMT-B's, Paramedic, RN, PA, NP, MD, DO
Education/Experience
More than one year using the above professional license in a wilderness, rural or austere setting. Examples would include: ski patrol, fire, national park, flight EMS, rural clinics and emergency departments, international aid, MSF, medical officer, SAR

Key Responsibilities
Risk Management
Company
Emergency Action Plan: Familiarity with venue and trip itinerary, communications/rescue contacts, activity and rescue equipment, scenario and skills locations
Ensure safety of clients and staff through evolving awareness of risk and hazards (both fixed and dynamic)
Client
Review Medical Disclosure forms, perform equipment verifications, rider survey, welfare checks
Determine rider fitness, make individual and group decisions
Operational Duties
Preparation
Equipment: Inventory and maintain teaching equipment for skills, labs, and trips, Inventory and maintain personal equipment to meet operational standards
Logistics
Coordinate with Logistics Manager and site facilities managers
Coordinate with Primary/Secondary Instructors, Proctors, and volunteers for teaching assignment and choreography
During the Course
Instruction: Lecture, Skills, and Scenarios content delivered per Instructor Manual and Training program specifications
Guiding: awareness/knowledge of the training area and appropriate trails for the group
After the Course
Researching questions that could not be answered
Forwarding new information to the other instructors
