Program Overview
Our Wilderness First Responder for Mountain Bikers course covers the essentials of wilderness and emergency medicine, tailored to injuries and scenarios most common in mountain biking. This 72-hour internationally recognized course combines multi-day on-trail adventures for skills and scenario training, with 20 hours of self-paced pre-course work issued four weeks beforehand. Practice treating life threats, stabilizing injuries, and evaluating and managing medical and environmental hardships.
Whether you plan on working or guiding professionally, or just simply enjoy exploring on your own, our industry-standard Wilderness First Responder for Mountain Bikers course can help you stay safer and go further.
Learn critical, life-saving emergency medical skills in a course format adapted specifically for mountain bikers. Hosted on Galbraith Mountain, you’ll need a bike and good physical fitness to access this classroom. This program provides WFR, CPR/AED, and Washington state Epinephrine Auto-Injector certifications.
