Whether you're an MD, PA, RN, EMT, or Paramedic, this course is valuable to help take your practice out of the clinic and into the backcountry. With up to 24.5 hours of Category 1 CME attached to the curriculum, you will not only gain certification in wilderness medicine but will have a jump towards re-certifying in your respective practice.

Our 2-day Wilderness Life Support: Medical Professionals Hybrid course (formerly Advanced Wilderness Life Support) is designed to teach you how to apply your medical knowledge to backcountry wilderness scenarios where supplies and resources are limited and evacuation may be hours away. Following completion of online modules to cover the didactic portion of the WLS:MP curriculum, students will meet in person for the practical skills component. Following an opportunity to review questions from the modules, we will dive into practical skills and wilderness victim scenarios. This means the two days on the coast will be spent almost entirely outside doing hands-on practical skills. In taking this course, you will get to explore some of the most beautiful locations in Lake Tahoe, meet other amazing people, gain valuable knowledge, and have fun while doing so.

This course has been incredibly helpful and was a lot of fun. I feel so much better prepared to be in the backcountry after all the practical hands-on scenarios. The instructors were all great, experienced, open to questions and made it interactive and fun. The team building was quite enjoyable as well.
