At BMG, we recognize that medical concepts are challenging to learn, difficult to practice, and easy to forget. We’ve designed this certification extension system to foster skill and critical thinking to increase retention levels for our alumni base.

Medical training programs have traditionally used a “massed learning approach” that requires students learn through single event programs every two years. In 2020 the American Heart Association studied learner retention for resuscitation programs, and found that, in conjunction with traditional learning, “booster training” increased learner retention and decreased mortality in patients.
Complete 8 case studies and adjunct video series to extend your certification for an additional year. Sessions must be completed before your expiration date (or 1 year grace period) to complete recertification. Certification is extended to a maximum of 3 years from your initial in-person training.

This course can be completed at your own pace, however, the extension will not be issued until it is finished.
